Perhaps you could give couples therapy a chance, that would be the ideal setting to introduce your wife to the disorder; also, it would allow you - little by little - to acquire the tools necessary to recognize and handle the issues caused by the disorder.
Anyway, the fact that you have enough introspection to see your issues is an extremely good sign!

Indeed, many HPD sufferers don't recognize (or deny) to have issues, and tackle them appropriately.
