Anna Nicole Smith?

I'm watching the news, and they are saying how her young son recently died very unexpectedly. Poor kiddo.

But while that news is truly tragic, something else came to mind while I was looking at photos and film of her and remembering how she acted on her t.v. show.... does anyone else think she seems HPDish? I'm no expert... I was just wondering.

No, i don't think she has HPD.

I'd say she seems like she could be or at the very least the normal healthy dramatic personality type.

I did a little research on Anna's background for one she was shuttled back and forth between her mother and her aunt. why? that could be some kind of an abandonment loving mothers typically don't let others raise their children. Her biological father abandoned the family early on and she began stripping when she was a teenager. Her half sister once went on the TV show A Current Affair and talked about some things that happened in their childhood. She wants nothing to do with her entire family and has admitted to not trusting anyone. Her idol was the histrionic like Marilyn Monroe. She was addicted to various medications and alcohol and of course we all have seen her Histrionic behavior on her reality show.

Her background and adult behavior appear too dysfuncional for her to be just Nuerotic. I ruled out Narcissistic because she doesn't seem grandiose or haughty in her interactions with others and she has embarassed herself far too much Narcissists want to be looked up to not down. She craves too much attention and likes being around people so she can't be schizoid or Antisocial. She is either Borderline or Histrionic in my opinion But if I had to take a guess I'd say definitely Histrionic.

Wow, good input jaysoncur. I've heard some things about her family as well from someone who would know. Apparently, they are all really really trashy (straight out of the trailerpark), and all of them just try to ride her coattails of fame. At any given time they are speaking or fighting furiously. No real unity at home for her, from what I understand.

Of course, there is the "no, she's normal" option (which I just don't believe after having seen her television show). But then again, I'm no pro. Thanks for you perspective.
