Do any of you know or sense that certain celebrities could be histrionic? Tell us why you feel this way? I know I do but first I want to hear from you guys. I want to know if others see what I see.

Three that I can think of off the top of my head are definite histrionics as far as being dramatic but only one I'd say is HPD or BPD or both and I'll list her at the top. Myself and another poster. Zander I think it was had a big discussion here a few posts back about what the first one really was and I at first was thinking only BPD but he convinced me she is also HPD.

1. Courtney Love
2. Drew Barrymore
3. Richard Simmons
4. Robin Williams

1. Marliyn Moore was thought to have been BPD.
2. Angenlina Jolie is HPD but possibly BPD as well.
3. Mariah Carey might be HPD too.

4. Madonna has to be
5. Micheal Jackson maybe
6. Joan Crawford diagnosed
7. Kathie Lee Gifford maybe
8. Mariah Carey has to be
9. Sharon Stone seems like
10 Naomi Campbell maybe borderline as well
11. Christina Aguilera seems like
12. Lindsay Lohan seems like
13. Star Jones seems like
14. Pamela Anderson seems like
15. Carmen Electra seems like

Wow there are quite a bit of histrionics in Hollywood. Kontroller X I never thought about Richard Simmons or Robin Williams but those are interesting and I think you are right.

mylife Monroe and Jolie yeah I think so too.

The way they seek attention is so similar and they don't seem to fit any other category and most seem vulnerable like all they want is to be acknowledged even if it's sexual or flamboyant or even negative like look at me I'm somebody too

Noinsight -

Interesting note! Actually reminds me of how when my therapist diagnosed me as HPD, I chuckled and told him I was actually in someways "pleased" to have that disorder. I thought that HPD made me more interesting, more seductive, more exciting, more complex and just plain more of a "true" female. My therapist laughed and he said my feelings about my disorder are exactly what made him certain that I am HPD.

It is true that many of these women are the most sought after females in the business. I always felt like Jennifer Aniston was so "blah", kind of the girl-next -door. When Brad Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie it made TOTAL sense to me - Angelina is a woman! My best friend is a lot like Jennifer Aniston and in some ways my bf bores me to death...but I love her because SHE is the most honest, trustworthy and respectful friend in my life. However, I KNOW for certain that as far as fun goes, I would have a hell of a lot more fun with Angelina!!! Me and my HPD or BPD friends ALWAYS have a crazy time when we kick it.

Yes now that you mention it they certainly are to alot of people but they are not my type in terms of wanting to date them or something. Some of them I found very physically attractive though like Carmen Electra and Paris Hilton Nicole Ritchie is cute but she has gotten dangerously skinny.

LMFAO.

Well you've just gone and taught me a new thing about HPD's mylife.

A dude on another forum said that he didn't think HPD's would want to or enjoy hanging out together as that would divide up the male attention and an HPD wants all of it so tends only to have ugly or plain Jane female friends around her on an outing or none at all and just a male fanclub member or whatever.

You've shown that at least there's one HPD out there who breaks that guys analysis. :P

Edit: Also good list Jayson.

I'm not sure about Pam and Carmen Electra but I agree they are suspect.

One last question though...Joan Crawford was actually diagnosed HPD? Think I saw a movie on her life once and she was throwing an incredibly destructive tantrum for no reason. Seemed BPD to me.

I think you would have to include Jessica Simpson in the list.

Also another one is Julia Roberts, she not only is one in real life, she plays a perfect Histrionic in her movies(Runaway Bride, Notting Hill), the role of the vulnerable, hurt little girl that gets the hero to come save her, so she can dirt him in the end.

Of course in the movies it all works out OK.
