Is there any connection between Cluster B personalities (HPD, NPD, ASPD, and BPD) and Cyclothymic mood disorder? a connection with symptoms?

Further more, is there a connection with these Cluster B personalities and Scizotypal PD? Any HPDs see that connection?

I don't know about a scientific connection, but I recently had some problems with an hallucination (See the "Am I crazy?" Thread). Basically, I think I was hallucinating people to give me attention when I was being largely ignored by a friend. People in the forums have suggested I might be schizotypal, in a very small way. Apparently lots of people are without ever realising, and it isn't really a problem. Don't know if that helps, but that didgies-2-cents.

thanks for the change!!! lol
no but seriously, the same type of deal happened to me today
i used to have hallucinations to, but now i get more effected physically
now, when i feel i am being ignored; I just may suddenly get an upset stomach, feel sick, and on occasions I have been know to feel dizzy and faint- when you faint you are the CENTER of attention, definitly,
and, everyone wants to nuture you, a big HPD benefit

Hmmm, nope nothing like that. Though that wouldn't really work for a guy anyway. Sometimes I will go into a 'hyper' mode if I have been deprived of attention for some time. I am quite juvenile and..whats the word...'wacky'. I don't like it because I have less control of some of the stupid $#%^ I pull. An exceptionally hyper-spell can set me back weeks in some relationships.

The book Emotional Vampires mentions that some HPD's get sicknesses or physical reactions from how they perceive they are being treated so its interesting to see you verify the book lostHPD.

=)

Glad to be of service =)
Sometimes it's scary that the HPD or whatever has taken over my mind, is so ingrained that; in an 'emotionally scary' situation which I feel is about to come on, my body actually prevents the situation from occuring by putting a seemingly alarming gap in the situation.
It's clear there are some things an HPD cannot know that threaten 'inner being.' Hah! guess there is something in there after-all.

hmmm...relationships?

Postby PersonOutThere11 » Tue Aug 29, 2006 2:42 pm

I think I tend to get to this win and toss before other HPDs do.
I can feel I have won someone before we are in a relationship due to their behavior, then I can cause them the pain that makes me feel so good quicker. (kind of like Dracula stlye...hence the name of that book 'Emotional Vampires')
Plus my NPD side doesn't want me in any kind of 'equal' partnership. Even if it really of course is all about me, I don't want other ppl to think I am vulnerable to someone emotionally when I am in fact not.
