Comorbidity or the same disorder

I read, on a various internet links, that NPD is a part of HPD, and i think this is very true. Personally, I must stare in the mirror like every hour, and I put on make-up even before I go to sleep, when no one else is around...just for the reassurance.
I also read on an NPA screening site that NA (to be Narcissistic agressive) is the same as to be Histrionic.
I also read that HPD and Cyclothymic disorder are just different names for the same thing.
I also read...jk
So what is fact and what's fiction???

I think HPD is a lighter form of Borderline Personality Disorder to be quite honest after all I've read on it.

BPD's do the devalue discard thing just like Narcissists but fear is the prime mover for them while for an NPD its their belief that what was once perfect and new is now old and boring and its time to move onto a new model, especially when this new object ie person is someone that they believe is going places and they will be looked up to and worshipped in their mind by being with this person.

HPD's do the D&D when they feel a person has been conquered by them be it too much in love or something else.

Do I think HPD can be dual diagnosed with NPD?

Sure as usually when one personality disorder is found another is usually found as well or if not other disorders can be found but yeah it is possible for a person to just be a type of HPD and nothing else.

If a person...my friend...(lol) has a comorbity of NPD and HPD, and believes that one is stronger that the other, how can they know for sure which one is more present in them? When the 'moving on for a better model and achieving a place of guaranteed sucess' and the 'moving on once someone has been conquered and is weak' occur together...does that mean the person has both NPD and HPD (in a nut-shell), or could both be in one disorder, or are the disorders comorbid here??? (perplexed)

Hmmm, in that case it definitely sounds like a dual diagnosis thing with HPD and NPD taking place in equal doses.

Perhaps digital.noface can weigh in on this sometime if he agrees about your friend being HPD and NPD both as he was diagnosed as this.

Well, I don't know exactly how accurate online tests are but i took one at 4degreez.com just now (already taken like 1mill times b4 tho)
It said I was high in, or should research the possibility of having,
Narcissistic PD
Histrionic PD
Anti Social PD
and Schizotypal PD
I can't imagine there could be that much wrong with me, it just doesn't sound right. I mean many of the symptoms of them I can relate to, but I'm that much of a nut ball. But in any case when "my friend"/I took these tests, NPD and HPD were the only two that would regularly get a very high rating, that's why I brought it up.
Where should i go from here? :( thanx 4 ur help :)

Well if therapy is an option definitely that.

If its not I guess I would advise you to learn as much about these disorders as you can and do whatever you are able to learn critical thinking skills and just make sure to really think before every relationship situation where you might hurt someone if you do this or that.

One of the goals is trying not to hurt people and paying attention and being sensitive and caring about another person's emotions other than your own.

The other goals for HPD's in a therapy setting are learning that they can take care of themselves and that they don't need a partner to save them etc.

Anyway as I said in the last topic you are welcome to talk to my HPD friend Genevieve and I on AIM if you wish to give me your AIM name in PM or whatever.

We will help you in whatever way we can.
