Enjoy making an animal jealous of other animal?

Postby yYyYy » Wed Jun 05, 2013 1:21 pm

I just remembered this while i read a thread about animal abuse in aspd forum.(antisocial-personality/topic115343.html)

I love making animals to be jealous
Like if there's a puppy, and if you hold and show love to another animal exclusively
the puppy feels jealous and even cry, you know that right?

I try to do that often when I am with animals. I LOVE making them feel sad and crying out of jealousy etc. the thing is i don't really stop doing that, i'd continuously show penchant to one animal and make other one miserable. I feel some kind of euphoria when I do that.
i don't particularly beat the other animal or make it starve anything... so does it count to 'animal abuse'?

is it hpd? only me????

and it is not toward pets i actually own, just like friend's pet etc... or just any animals i meet anywhere. they get jealous and sad really.

i'll hold one animal in me and sleep while locking the others outside... something like that.
if there is no 'other animal' available to induce jealousy, I will use stuffed animal or whatever
(that doesn't really work)

LOL i feel like wicked woman to read this
but i don't think it's very serious... like it's only 1,2 occassion not something continuous.

and it's just umm cute when they cry out of jealousy, puppies, aren't they...

I don't know you nor do I know a whole lot about HPD, but intentionally making one animal jealous of another seems kind of point less, doesn't it?

At least with people generally, theres award of some type to be gained by playing people against each other (attention, affection, money, a promotion at work or in a social group, etc..).

But whatever works for ya I guess, its not like you're pitting dogs against each other to fight, or starving cats, so you could be doing alot worse.

I have a family member who enjoys playing tricks on the dogs, and sometimes it seems like she favors one over the other. She is nine years old. So we teach her that it is wrong to be inconsiderate or even cruel to her dogs, and to be more sensitive, because this teaches awareness and consideration of beings (incl. people) outside of her own ego. In short, we are cultivating, teaching, and reinforcing empathy in her.
Although it is often said that people with AsPD identify more with animals then people, I also know of instances where cruelty to people was preceded by cruelty to animals.

Anyhow yYyYy not to imply that you are being as cruel as some have, but I think it is good you are considering your conduct and the existence and suffering of animals and people as beings, those that exist independently of yourself.
Be tolerant of others, but true to yourself. In supporting you, I try to offer common sense. PM me if you need to.

so you remember when that cute guy you liked was kissing that girl you hate in front of you? ... he likes doing it because it makes you jealous.

actually I heard people kind of treat people like how they treat animals(pets)
unless they are fanatic animal lover-human hater

and I guess that's right somehow

it's surprising that a hpd would like to make a human man jealous and not do that to animals... lol

maybe you just need more practice at having fun YYY? than you'll be able to make other humans equally jealous of each other as well? - you know start small practicing with animals than work your way up to your boyfriends and husbands, just for fun and all.

btw, your new photograph is creeping me the ###$ out,

5y, that's emotional sadism.

The interesting thing about sadism of some kind, is that I've discovered sometimes its a desire to "make the other person you" - for example if you feel broken inside you feel the need to break other people etc.

With emotional sadism you're causing the other animal to feel unloved, in favour of a different one. Sounds a lot like feeling unloved and needing all the attention, but never feeling you have it. Because let's face it, if you do that, the attention isn't really on the animal you're petting, the real focus is on the animal you're depriving.

Its another way or replaying feelings related to childhood abuse or neglect, except in this scenario, you have the power. (or the semblance of power while you're still being controlled by the issue, cause let's face it your pets probably don't think about things in the exact same way as you or feel the way you did.) Its not the real or permanent way to get what you need or get back control.

I think YYY, is just practicing on small animals in hopes that she will be able to get back at the stupid people in her life that keep bothering her and deserve it. :)

I have faith in this board.

maybe it's a desire for attention for you. like, you want an animal begging for your presence and wanting you around and considering your opinion and affection to be very important. maybe that makes you feel special for an animal to need you like that. it just makes you feel desirable.
