What careers do you think are best for a histrionic?

I mean realistic goals; obviously ones like movie star, musician, or any other celebrity career are most likely out of reach (although I would like to reach one.)

I graduate High School in June, and I don't know what I want to do with my life. I am set to major in English - Creative Writing at university, but I don't even know if I'm interested in going to college. I want to study Vocal Music Performance as well, but my choir director says I'd have to do a classical piece and that is really boring. I also think it'd be fun to major in theater.

What careers would an HPD person be cut out for if they didn't go to college?
There are some mornings when the sky looks like a road.
There are some dragons who were built to have and hold.
And some machines are dropped from great heights lovingly,
and some great bellies ache with many bumblebees,
and they sting so terribly.

The Core personality of a person with HPD is often the Dramatic Personality. This is the non disordered version of HPD. This link contains a list of careers that might be suitable for this type of personality.

Do you like children?
I don't know how suitable it'd be for someone with HPD, but I was thinking that being a children's entertainer would be a fun way to have a job that incorporated singing and theatre. You know those people who dress up as fairies or clowns and go to children's parties or school fetes? You could incorporate something like face painting or selling fairy floss as well - tailor it to suit your interests. Maybe it'd only be a part-time job or hobby to begin with, so you could probably do it alongside college if you wanted to.

I had a goal to become a singer first and actress on the side.... :)

I am actually an IT specialst and rather enjoy my techie job, and would not want the complications of invasion of privacy that celebrities have even if they do make millions.

I hope you find something you are interested in.

Oprah says... do what you love, and love what you do...
