Animal stories always really get to me. I kept tearing up when I read this, and I usually never cry. I'm so, so sorry about your puppy. You really did the right thing though. I'm sure you'd feel much worse if you had to see him go through the doggy-chemo, especially if he didn't make it through. At least his life, including his last days, were spent happily, instead of spent being in a vet and being weak and on meds. I know it's hard to accept- I've had to make that decision before too, and it's so hard. Just know that he is happy and healthy now. A lot of people don't believe it, or will think I'm naive for thinking it, but I think there's an afterlife for animals too, and I think you're dog is having fun there right now =)

Despite our other differences, we all share the fact we have hearts and they can be broken and mended with love.

I don't think I am ready to go through it all again yet, I was always content to be alone because I had my little girls to keep me sane, but the loss has got harder to get over as I have got older, I would like to think that somewhere in my future there is another little puppy waiting for me and will jump up when seeing me.

I only intended to get one doggy when I got the girls, but the reputable breeder turned out to be a welsh guy with lots of sweet doggies in his boot, and three of them stood up on hind legs when they saw us and we had to get all three of them.

Sadly Kezzy died at age five with a rare illness that the vets had never encountered and my girls....well you know that they both went within a short time of each other.

And yet not unexpected, don't let it ruin a thread about your little guy though.

Hello All,

willow-Hi my friend...thank you for the hug!

POppy-Thank you for your lovely post. If there is an afterlife for people, then I most assuredly think that there is one for animals too :)

Pedosneedlovetoo- I hope that one day you are ready for a little furry friend again. There are so many dogs that need love and not enough people around to give it to all of them. It will bring you joy as well as whatever dog comes in to your life :D

I am quite curious what someone would say to spew something vile on this thread. Rob K I don't know what you said..it must have been bad if a mod edited it. You must be a truly vile creature indeed. I hope that whatever negativity that you put out in to the world comes back to you. If you said something that I or anyone contributing to this thread would have found hurtful about what happened..then I wish that same hurt upon you. I imagine that bullies on anonymous forums are often total cowards in real life.
