I have been taking buspar for about two months. Started at low dose and worked my way up to 45mg. I still feel no relief from my anxiety. My dr recommends going up to max dose of 60mg... Is it true that at this higher dose is where most people find relief? I just dont know if i should continue with this medicine. Please help

Hello, there! I just started Buspar a month ago (30 mg), and about two weeks ago my Dr. boosted me up to 60 mg. I didn't feel much relief at first, but I can tell you right now that it has been so helpful. Of course, I'm not completely anxiety-free, but has definitely helped. I would try to stick with it for a bit longer if I were you, just in case it needs more time to work. Hopefully you'll feel a bit better soon! (:

Thank you grace... However i feel like with the buspar increased dose that i am more anxious and feel like my body just cant relax... I also take .5 mg of klonopin 2x a day and lately i feel like that isnt working....i have no appetite and literally feel sick.... Did u feel that way on buspar or am i just experiencing more of my gad? Also when u say ur anxiety is still there is it bad? When i took pa il cr. several years ago it worked like a switch turning the anxiety right offf....
