People messing with me, not sure what to do.

So I suffer from a bipolar disorder and as of now I am currently VERY stable. More so than I have ever been in my entire life. I just have one problem, I have people harassing me and no one believes me because in the past I have done the the boy who cried wolf thing one to many times and now that I am actually being harassed, nobody believes me. Let me explain.

I moved into my apartment about 4 months ago. The first month was pretty easy going but after that it all went to hell. It started with the people living above me. I am doing something that is obviously making them very upset and I have a reason it has to do with my bed. Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy but let me explain that. I don't have a support frame for my bed so it is on the ground. Some nights I am very restless and I do a lot of excessive moving. Whenever I start moving around a lot, the girl who is sleeping above me starts pounding on the wall. I am assuming she can feel some kind of vibration and what not when I toss and turn. Also, when I turn my fan on (it's rather loud) she starts thumping and bumping. It's getting to the point where she has begun yelling things like "YOU'RE DEAD", when I walk out my apartment. I have heard her talking loudly to the people living with her (the walls and ceiling must be paper thin) and they have had arguments regarding my demise and their possibly accountability for it. However, it's not them, at least I don't think it is them, that will do me harm. It's the guy living directly across from them. Please allow me to explain before you become assumptive that I am being paranoid.

I have been smoking out side on my patio (I am on a first level apartment, so ground level). I have heard things coming from this guys apartment. I have heard them say the following:

He's hit, don't see why he has to die just because he is smoking, he doesn't even know (in a threatening manner), I hope they cut his balls off, Why don't you have them do a drive by-RESPONSE-Because I don't want to end up in prison.

I now know that they ALWAYS have their slider door open and that they are non smokers. I am under the impression that my smoke in going into their apartment and is pissing them off, which is understandable. I have quit thus far from smoking at that particular location, however, this guy just moved out. I believe he is affiliated with or is a Gangster Disciple as I have seen many people all dressed in black or white and black going in and out of the apartment with the common GD gang tattoos on their arms. Just tonight I was walking by my door and heard loud music coming from a car. A guy got out dressed in all black and walked up the stairs to the girls who still lives there. The girl went to the car and said "he doesn't even know". A guy then said to her, "he will die right here". I really don't know what to do, I called the cops and one came over (this was probably 2 months ago) and I explained the situation to him and he asked me if I was on meds. After I thought about it I realized I explained the whole situation in a way that would sound crazy. What I should have said was that I have been hearing death threats coming from above me. However, I decided to go into the whole thing about Gangster Disciples and that's when the crazy alarm probably went off in his head as I did a poor job of constructing a rationale explanation of what was going on. I have had people pull up to my apartment, turn on their brights and shine them into my room all the while they bang on their horn. This has recently stopped and I am not sure if this bull crap is over but it concerns me that this guy moved out. I feel they were waiting for him to leave as he was under the impression I knew about his involvement due to the things he has been saying. I say this due to the "I don't want to go to prison comment" I mentioned above. I feel that now he is gone, they will do something because it will be less likely for the cops to find him in any way responsible since he is not living near me.

I want to point out that I am not the kind of crazy where I hear and see thing that are no there. The only time I ever had that is when I went off my meds and started popping adderall like it was candy. What I hear is real and what I see is real, I am not a schizophrenic and do not really have a history of audio or visual hallucinations.

So tell me guys, what do you think and what should I do? I think if these guys were serious they would just finish this. I think if these gang bangers wanted me dead they would do it the next day, right? Why wait? All it would take it a car full of guys with guns. I mean people like this do crazy $#%^ during the day light hours and I have been walking home late at night for the past 2 weeks. Only thing I can logically conclude is that either they are trying to scare me stupid or they are waiting, but I don't know exactly why they are waiting.

Like I said earlier, I am very stable at the time being. More so than I ever have been because I am consistently taking my meds where as before I would take my meds but take them at a very low dose. Please offer your input. Don't be afraid to be blunt and honest.

P.S.

I have over heard the two apartments above me conversing with each other on their balconies. So this is why I believe the people directly above me would know something about this whole affair. I have even heard them saying things like, "he's dead, you'll see". I just can't imagine why they would be so open about it in a some what heavy residential area as there are other apartments all around them. Anyone could hear what they are talking about.

It is possible that this is just some joke - i.e. they all know that you can hear them, which is why they continue to try to scare you by saying that you are 'dead'. They might be trying to get you to move out. However, you cannot take the chance that they are just joking. It is my opinion that this is a police matter, not a psychological matter. Please go to your local police station and file a report about it. Think about what you want to say and then practice saying it before you go.

It is important that you do this in the correct manner.
