Best books for helping with generalized anxiety disorder??

I really need to get some help. I am to afraid to take the medication that the Doctore prescribed because I have a very low tolerance to medication. I get dizzy and all drugged out even from cold medicine. Can reading alone help? If so what books would you reccomend?
