Stress related illnesses and diseases are well-documented. You either deal with the stress or it will deal with you. Hypertension, addictions and cardio-pulmonary issues can be chronic, progressive and fatal. It can keep us from being the type of person that we want to be.
There are ways to reduce stress. Resolve the causes and it reduces the effects. Make peace with the past.
It may never be forgotten, but it may be explained, forgiven and put to rest. Asking for help is a sign of strength.
