Coping Mechanisms

Postby ElPinko » Sat Jun 24, 2017 6:28 pm

Does anyone have any coping mechanisms when they feel the onset of an anxiety attack. Usually I just focus on deep breathing until it goes away. Any body have any better ways? :)

Slow, deep breaths are important. Meditation and clearing the racing thoughts are also helpful. Closing the eyes or not focusing on anything in particular for a few minutes can help.
Prayer can help.

@mary309,

There is a selective mutism forum here if you wish to start a thread there.

Hope you find some support either here or in the forum I linked.
