medical doctors NOT patient with anxiety-based questions

Postby lilly50 » Mon Nov 21, 2016 12:58 am

Do any of you find that medical docs have no patience for anxiety? Do any of you ask too many questions about medical conditions and alienate docs because of it? Does being an extremely nervous patient cause docs to over-diagnose unnecessarily?

For me, anxiety has impaired my situations with doctors because I've been unable to ask questions or talk about issues that I need to. Instead I just clam up and listen to them talk and lie and say I'm fine when in reality there's so much going on under the hood that they don't know about, because I'm too afraid of being judged to speak up.

It's been ages since I've talked to a doctor about anxiety in specific, so I'm not quite sure what the doc who diagnosed me felt about my questions and so forth.

I find that to be true too. It's something different then a doctor being able to actually see a broken bone. They can't actually see our symptoms so A lot of doctors tend to brush it off. It's very frustrating because when we don't get help for it that in itself creates more stress.
