That constant pain in your chest....

Postby mjonathan24 » Sun Apr 24, 2016 11:01 pm

Ive suffered with anxiety since I was about 16, well that's the first time it really changed how I live and restricted my activities.
I'm now 30 and I still have trouble with anxiety, one of the main things that bothers me is a constant pain in my chest, near to my heart.
I am told that this is common so I am hoping that someone can lend some advise?
How do other people cope with it? How can it be eased? Any practical tips or suggestions?

I just want to know if theres a way for me to minimise it so that it doesn't get to the point where I'm struggling with acute depression, which is usually what happens when I've had it a few months and can't seem to shift it.
Any help appreciated.

Dear mjonathan24:

I think competent psychotherapy can help you through gaining insight to your childhood, those formative years when so many children get hurt and scared, and without comfort, overwhelmed. That kind of fear and hurt stay in the brain and in your case, i am thinking, in your chest.

Through insight, processing those emotions and learning skills, your pain and anxiety can be eased.
