Yoga Can help

Postby SoftSoul » Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:24 am

Hi, I'm a 30 yr old female from Bangalore, India. I've been suffering from Anxiety attacks for the past six years. But for the past 2 months it has become permanent.

I've been through all those familar feelings of an impending heart attack, a sense of unreliasation etc.

I started Yoga a month ago and would like to share with everyone out here, it's benefits. Yoga, especially when combined with Pranayam (breathing) has calmed me down a bit. I still expeience my attcaks with a vengeance but I feel I can control them better now that I know they are only anxiety attacks.

I was prescribed Nexito and Lonozip but have not aken them for the past four days. I do get a tingling and numbeness in my head bit I'm stronger mentally and ready to face an attack head on.

I'm here if anyone would like to chat or discuss their anxiety moments as I;'m sure I would reach out to someone out here the next time that horrible feeling comes on.

Until then, remember to breath correctly and deep :-)

Never experienced yoga. I went to hypnosis for my social phobia but no affect at all. Yoga seems to be interesting bit I think that the person has to be very concentrate.
I believe that the best ways of treating some mental disorders can be found in MODERN MEDICINE! At least in my case, I had SAD and right medications are "the ones" that saved me.

I wish I could do yoga, but I get bored with it too quickly. They just repeat the same moves over and over. It becomes tiresome and monotonous to me. Then again, I have some ADD symptoms so perhaps that's my problem...
