i have anxiety..

Postby benzpheta » Wed Sep 30, 2015 8:36 am

So, recently (the past year or so) i've noticed my anxiety just get worse and worse. I guess i have panic attacks but they aren't loud? like how people describe them, i just shake and it gets hard to breathe and my legs feel like jelly. If i go to a therapist do you think he'd prescribe me something? I have a past with benzos but now i really think i need them.

HEY! 8)

This is coming from someone who had very bad anxiety (me)... at one point it was social anxiety (the worst) but generally it was always generalized anxiety. My symptoms were rapid heart rate, sweatiness, shaking, shortness of breathe, the whole 9! I've never taken any medication... I've tried many things naturally though but today, I would say I'm close to completely being free of anxiety. Just certain things bring on a little anxiety... no shaking or shortness of breathe... my heart rate may get a little faster and my body temperature may get a little hotter in temperature but it's rare!

The main thing that had worked for me was exposure of and doing exactly what triggered my anxiety (I had a lot of triggers!!) ALONG with practicing a healthy lifestyle. It wasn't the easiest road to travel but it was definitely the most effective! Without ever taking meds!

Healthy lifestyle... from my diet (I began juicing, consuming much more fruits and veges), working out regularly (even if its just once/week), your thinking! definitely have to start telling yourself more positive things and thoughts! Maintain an optimistic mindset; despite any setbacks! It can be frustrating at times, and that's okay but just know you can and will overcome this! Meditation, visualization, mantras, these are all some of the things I began trying to implement into my everyday living!

May I ask... what type of situations do you get your anxiety in?
