Good points about anxiety disorder

Postby iftheworldunderstand » Fri Jun 13, 2014 6:24 am

I'm on a quest to look at what are the good points of people with mental illness, I believe people with mental illness have the ability to feel so much beyond what a normal human body can take.

It's terrible how society often discriminate or treat people with mental illness unequally.

People, education, advertisement, often show mental illness as a burden. Majority of the world doesn't know what are the good things that people with mental illness can achieve over "normal" people.

Starting with Anxiety disorder, I believe once they are able to control it...
1) They can think deeper than normal people
2) Naturally sharp, as they are often high-alert
3) Highly empathic and understanding, as they know what does it feels like to fear...

Please do tell me what I've missed out, I hope we can contribute to end the stigma of mental illness in this world. Thank you :)

Don't know if this is suitable for the rest of people, but it is for me.
Being trough so much, in my opinion, makes us stronger than people who have had an easy life. I've seen lots of people who would run away as soon as things got hard, while we keep fighting as those difficulties are not the worst thing we've been trough.
It's the same for people who never had any disorder, but have had difficult lives.

Maybe it sounds sad that something that's not fine feels like "nothing" for someone just because that person has already been much worse, but that's what i think.

It is said that "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"
