I JUST STARTED PAXIL AND I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING MUSCLE TENSION ON MY BACK NECK ARMS AND SHOULDER JUST WONDERING AND I WOKE UP LAST NIGHT AND SHORT OF BREATH IS THAT NORMLA WHEN STARTING A MED I AM ON THE 5TH DAY
HI I'M JOHNNY
AND I AM 15
I WAS DIAGNOST WITH ACUTE ANXIETY/PANIC ATTACKS.
AND ITS RUUNING MY LIFE I HAVE A FEAR OF GOING TO SLEEP AND BEING ALONE I CONSTANTLY HAVE CHES PAINS AND I HAVE GOTTEN CHECKD OUT AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG.

I don't see it on the side affect list for paxil.

It could be yes.
Also it could just be you being tense all the time.
You've had muscle tension even before you started Paxil hon.
Got to relax... ;)

what is your dose?
ask doc or the pharmacist about reducing it for a while to help getting used to it

I have gotten muscle tension and jaw tightness on a very high dose of zoloft.

The shortness of breath could just be from the anxiety itself. calm down your just feeding your fears.

Johnny I just pm'd you back....But if you experience any depression while taking this med, don't stop it ......call your doctor. It is very important you not just stop taking this Antidepressant.


amy this is very good advice. could be break thru anxiety. huh?
