Sensing the darkness in everything

Postby BonjourJakk » Tue Nov 05, 2013 2:50 am

Lately i have this problem where i "sense" the darkness in everything. I look into my friends and families eyes and i feel this overwhelming darkness. I find it very difficult to see the positives in much of anything anymore. I have depression and PTSD. The anxiety is often overwhelming. and when it goes away, i feel this awful sense of dread and depression. I am trying to work through this with a therapist, as well as exercise at the gym. unfortunately, my efforts have no helped very much. Should i seriously xconsider medication? does any.medication ACTUALLY help? i am afraid of meds and don't want to take them as i'm afraid that my brain chemistry will change for the worse, but i am feeling desperate.

Medication is a personal choice, but if you're feeling you need more help than you're currently being offered, than perhaps you should consider it. Medication can help people with anxiety and depression, yes. I found certain medications to be very good for anxiety. I can understand your fear, some medications didn't work well for me, but some did. If you are going to try it, just make sure to talk through with the doctor about your reservations about it, and find out which drug is the best for you and ask questions and take it slowly. Perhaps you should ask your therapist if they recommend seeing a psychiatrist, since they would have an opinion if you need more help.

Thanks for your reply.

I begun taking St Johns wort yesterday. I figure i should at least try something more natural, and something "lighter" than an anti-depressant. There must be something natural to fix this! *fingers crossed*.
