I'm 35 years old and have known for the last 20 years that I am a trans woman. I have finally stopped second guessing myself and questioning whether or not I was this, that or the other thing. This is the first step in accepting something I have always known but never addressed. I have a wife, whom I love very much. She is very liberal minded and is quite supportive of lgbtq people and well-versed in the issues, but comes with a plethora of her own mental disorders and her reactions to things aren't always favorable.
No one knows this about me. My wife deserves to be the first.
Thank you to anyone reading. This is the first step towards coming out. I am terrified!!!

Hello and welcome!
Since 15? That is a long time to feel that about yourself.
Are you considering transitioning?

Yeah, whatever you decide to do next, it's right that your wife is the first person you speak to.
It's a huge thing to break to your nearest. It'll possibly be shattering initially, but once the dust settles you'll probably be glad you got over that first hurdle. I know quite a few trans women who came out to their wives first, and by and large, they've been very supportive. You might find she's already got an inkling.
