Hello.

I have not been through the same. And my only advice is if you feel you were meant to be born a male. Or your a male trapped in a females body then your probably right. This has been found to be true with many individuals. So your not alone at all. I'm not sure exactly whom you'd go to but a psychiatrist would seen a likely first step if you were looking for gender reasignment surgery. To turn your female body into the male one it was supposed to be.

Yes your right. Good thing about that though is it gives you lots of time to think and grow. If the operation is something you want it gives you time to save too.

Those surgeries cost so much money. I am the same but opposite; I feel as though I should have been born female (which may explain my bisexualism). I don't feel comfortable to change my sexuality though, I find comfort in being the most feminine I can be, do you feel the same about being masculine? Do you go out of your way to make yourself more confident by re-arranging your appearance to suit your personality? By the sounds of it with your hair etc you do.

I hope that you find a comfortable ground on which to stand because I know how difficult it can be to not fit into the body that has been given to you.

Yes they do indeed cost alot of money. And to get a gender reassignment surgery that isnt in cuba or mexico the process can be extensive. Have to be seen by a series of psychiatrists to evaluate you. You have to live as a male or female (opposite your born sex) for atleast a year prior. I have a friend from ottawa who is in the process now (male to female) And it really is quite extensive to what they put you through to qualify for the surgery. And ontop of that, even though gender identity disorder has been recognized to be lagit and it's found to improve the individuals life after the surgery there is no funding or assistence option. It's all comming out of your pocket. Whether thats right or not is arguable. Nontheless those who get it are 100% sure its what they want.

Make_up_and_drugs is gender reassignment surgery something you'd opt for?. Or is it a plan for the future?.

i believe that there are 2 axis's that play into gender, the first one is ones own gender identification, for instance it sounds like you gender identify as being fairly masculin, the second being ones gender orientation, this being the gender/s which you find attractive/arousing. i know a few male to female pre and post opp's who have gone on to pursue lesbian relationships with women. and a hermaphridite with whom the micro-penius was removed who still went on to develop into a male.

it strikes me that at the age of 15 where as you may have a clear idea as to how you see yourself, as you are at the advent of your sexual expression, your gender orientation is likely still undergoing ongoing development. I dont see your conundrum to be a mistake at birth. rather a dynamic cirumstance, certenly more complicated then some, but not at all uncommen. i suppose what im getting at is that though things are not as simple as with some, you are in all likelyhood in the body you are supposed to be in, you just have a different set of challenges then most. I would recomend being pacient before planning any surgerys. you got time and experiance to live into.
