Interesting. Thank you for the example. Here is my take on this situation...
It looks like sure money (probably is), however you would have to bet a lot to make decent money. There would be probably some type of cap on how much you can bet on this type of deal (maybe $500) and you might earn $15. You do it and it works great. However, we start to check the odds more often and start to bet on games that are not guaranteed (because we're addicts and have no self-control) and that is where the site take us for a ride.
For a person who has no attachment to gambling, this might work. However for us, who are dopamine seekers, our emotions will cause us to lose control and ruin us. Do not trick yourself to think that you have the discipline to do this as well. I have heard of many who said they had the 'discipline' and could easily stop gambling. Welcome to the forum

This reminds me of a deal that one of my local casino has. They provide a coach bus and a voucher for $20 of free play. So you can just play once, win and keep the money. If you lose, then no loss because it was free anyways. The problem is that whether you win or lose, you are stuck there for 3 hours before the bus goes back. Many get bored and end up gambling and losing.
If I were in my gambling cycle, I would have definitely been your best buddy and done this system with you. However, being out of it the cycle, I see that the $15 is not worth the constant thoughts, checking of odds, sleepless nights and the roller coaster of gambling. I'd rather try to be an ever better buddy and guide you away from such promotions. Thanks for the post Leroy!
