Any anniversaries coming up?

Anybody looking at an anniversary this week?

I need to hear some good news and people successfully dealing with an addiction always makes me happy.

Well , I hit my 5 year mark on Jan. 1 .

Every passing day puts more distance between me and the reasons I had to gamble , reasons which in truth were only excuses to give in to the compulsion instead of fight it .

Is my life perfect now ? No . But I'm free from the helplessness and hopelessness of being controlled by a destructive impulse . That's close enough to perfect for me .
