Hi all,
Maybe this is a bit too late now, but I would like to give my feedback on this matter. My biggest problem used to be online gambling. As mentioned it is quite hard, because there are so many online casinos, but depending on where you live, things can be taking a turn, and I will now explain.
I am an european, living out of europe. In my particular home country, where my bank accounts are, legislation has shifted, and so has in many countries. So many countries now, are restricting the online casino, and only allowing certain types of games and users to be registered (and you have to proove it) in that country (which believe it or not, it is not that simple nowadays). And why do I say this... that huge amount of casinos is no longer available. So when I self exclude from some site, I am narrowing down my chances. I have now done it in all the online casinos that were available in my country. I no longer have the problem to be alone in my house, with available credit on my account. I have played in more than 10 different major sites... now I don't. And I have lost that hurge to look and open new accounts...
So yes, even to online gamblers, self exclusion is a big help. (altough it not covers it all).
