RELAPSED AGAIN

Postby BadluckLeavesMeBroke » Sun Aug 11, 2019 9:41 am

I quit and told myself I was done. I quit for about a month or so, maybe more?

I have been saving up hard to buy a vehicle.

I was scammed out of $800. After I was scammed, I went on tilt and tried to chase that money back and lost $1000 at the casino.

That was everything I had in my name.

I just felt I'd share my relapse to let others know they aren't alone in this battle. This is one of the worst addictions because with other things like alcohol or weed you get drunk or high when you relapse, but with gambling, it only takes one relapse to lose everything you had been saving since you last quit.

It is a difficult addiction, but life is more difficult if we continue to gamble. I also have tried to solve problems by gambling which always caused more or greater problems. Nothing can be solved by gambling. Everything can be made worse by gambling.

We can often find ANY reason to gamble and we always think it can help us out of the problem. Sadly, it ends up being our biggest problem.

Very true. With other addictions, there is a limit that the body can take (eating, alcohol, drugs), but with gambling, we can gamble $1000 just as easy as $10. So if we don't take control of it and are not careful, we can lose everything in one session as BLLMB said. The WORST addiction if you ask me...
