AN UPDATE ON MY GAMBLING PROBLEM

I feel like I must log this to remind myself of how much of a gambling problem I have.

I will keep it short and sweet.

I went to the casino and lost and then borrowed a slight advance on my paycheck and won pretty big (big to me).

I started with a few hundred and won up to 5k. I hit many bonuses. I began to lose a bit so I left with just under 5k.

This happened on Monday.

I went back Tuesday multiple times and lost 2k of that.

I went back again today multiple times, a high amount of times actually, back and forth from the casino back to my place to get more cash and ended up losing another 2k.

Now I am back to where I started at.

I realize how bad of a gambling problem I have.

I'm not sure what's next.

I'll tell you what's next . One of two things will happen :

1) you will get help for your gambling addiction or
2) you will do the same thing over and over again

Those are your choices . The same two choices we've all had . I don't know what else to tell you at this point . You've been coming here for years but you rarely post anything besides how much money you've lost . What kind of support can we offer for that ?

Outside of " Gee , that's too bad ." , I'm kind of at a loss here BLLMB .

I think we all know whats next..
We begin to think:
1. I had such a good run before, I can do that again
2. I am back to where I started so technically I didn't lose any money, so it is just like I was gambling at the very start

Both lead us further into the addiction and reinforces the behaviour.

As NSR has said, we need to do something to change. Otherwise, nothing changes.
