Why can someone win on the stream?

I am curious what do you think about people that are streaming when they play online casino. I have also a gambling addiction. I want to stop again after 6 years because I don't win anymore. When I win money it is never enough so I loose it all again and again. I have no debt but if I go on with gambling I will destroy everything, my relationship, my finances, my whole life. It is not to late yet. I hope I can stop because I also want to have savings.

I read a lot on the internet about gambling and how lifes can be destroyed. I was curious of there is someone who can win from the casino. So I was searching on twitch and saw a guy who won a lot of money. And on YouTube I saw that he made a lot more money with slots. How in the world is that possible? Maybe he has not a addiction so he can make money? It is still one of my dreams to make a lot of money and then quit for the rest of my life so I have savings right now. And also I hope that I don't have the urge to gamble annymore because the money that I made. Deep inside me I know that it don't work that way, but my brains or something want to tell other stories.

Someone once remarked to me that you could spot a gambling addict by the fact that they never tell you how much they lost , they only tell you how much they won . I don't know if that's true or not but I have noticed that trait in many of my still-addicted friends , some of whom I know for a fact have lost thousands of dollars chasing a $400 jackpot .

No one gambles and wins all the time . Are there people who make money gambling ? Probably . The bigger question is : Are you one of them ?

If the answer is No , if you are losing a lot of money trying win a lot of money , then you may come to the conclusion that I did . : I was gambling to get myself out of the mess that gambling got me into .

That is a good question. And the answer is no. I can't win from the casino. A long time I thought that I can control the gambling but after 6 years and losing thousands of euro's I can confirm that I have a addiction.

But deep inside me there is a desire to win a lot of money. And I saw it on YouTube and twitch that is possible. I am not talking about thousands of dollars. I am talking about more than 100.000 dollar. And one day he won 213.000 dollar. I dont't know that guy. Maybe he has also a addiction, maybe not. I think you must be very strong to have no addiction with that amount of money. He has also a lot of followers on twitch so I think he can earn his money with gambling.

I know it's dangerous for me to watch those people. Now I am feeling strong and don't gamble for 4 days now. But I know that there will be a day that I have the urge to win also that amount of money and gamble again. So I must watch out.

My addiction used to tell me that all the time " You could be the lucky one one today , you could win enough to pay your debt and start a great new life . It's possible . " Those lies kept me gambling for years . If you want to stop gambling , then stop watching gambling videos that keep you convinced that you could win tons of money too . It's just keeping thoughts of gambling alive and active your mind .

It's only feeding you lies , disguised as "hope" . It doesn't matter what the other guy can win. It only matters that it isn't working like that for us and we're killing ourselves trying to make it happen .

Totally agree. It doesn't matter who won or not. It doesn't matter if there are people that can control the gambling. It also doesn't matter if I can win about a week some money to have savings, just because my urge to gamble will be stronger. And then I can't hold myself, and then I lose more money than I want. And so on and on and on.. It is really mind ######6, the bonuses, the streamers, the wins that I hear or see, the casino on every corner and all the casino sites.. But in the end my own thoughts is fooling myself. I admire people like you NewSunRising that stopped gambling forever because gambling is everywhere. It is so easy to have access to gambling.

I'm going to stop watching gambling videos because it doesn't heal myself. I have taken other measures to stop. I really hope that I can heal myself this time.

I believe that you can , HM . And I believe that you have the strength to do it .

As in any battle , wishing , hoping and praying that we will be able to stop just doesn't work . Addiction isn't simply making poor choices . It's a compulsion , an irresistible urge to do a thing . Breaking that hold over our minds requires determination , dedication and time . Get all the help you can , whatever is available .

The longer you stay away from gambling , the easier it becomes to stay away from gambling . There are casinos all around me too but my recovery time is far too precious to me to even consider throwing it all away . I had one moment a few months ago when the compulsion came back more fiercely than I would ever have thought possible . I was in an awful state of grief and stress . I found myself walking into a casino as if I had no control over where my feet were taking me .

After five minutes or so I left , but the experience shook me . I know that no matter how many gamble-free years I accumulate , this addiction will never be gone forever . It will always be waiting for its chance to come back to life . My addiction compelled me to go in but my time in recovery enabled me to walk out . I am very grateful for that .
