Hi
I have never gambled in a casino. All I have done is betted on sports.
I was just wondering which is harder to quit! As far as sports betting is concerned I am on day 3 and things are not that tough. I do think about betting but only in a way that I have lost so much money. The urge to bet have almost gone.

We all have our poison. It really depends on what needs our type of gambling fulfilled. For me, it was much harder to stop online sports betting. Casino's were far from me and slow paced. Online betting was very easy and I could bet on everything. It is hard to exclude from online because there are just so many sites to go on. I think I had an account on every site possible here in Canada at one time...

Hi yahoo,
I have never gambled online and would be scared to death to start since obviously access is immediate. There are casino games such as craps that are very fast and addictive and adrenalin fueled
but you have to make an effort to get there physically. There is a sports book in a nearby casino and on Fri,Sat, and Sun there is a very, very long line to place bets. Folks go there bet and many stay and watch the game. It is all about speculating about how an event will end. I know some sports bettors feel superior because they have access to a lot of info with which to make decisions. I have known folks that play poker in casino, craps there also, and do sports betting. Many do it all. I only played one game, casino craps, and still could not master the game even though I had a new strategy every time. I loved the game. It did not love me.
Just my take. Not preaching.

I can see now that for me --- it is all the same.
I'll get my "juice" from even a raffle business card drawing. something so innocuous.
i used to substitute diff forms, just filling the void until casino etc. i think we all have our base line preferred gambles, but I also sense the subs can keep it going until we can get back to our main "love" or fix. priming the pump.
a book I read on gambling broke down the types of gamble - equating the effect w/ diff drug effects on brain -- craps and bj more a coke type "HIT" and slots more of a heroine zoning out. made some sense
and be careful when stopping using the less evil subs. it all is working the same brain networks - which is what I want to dis engage and re wire.
