I did. the dealer asked me if I wanted to double. I said NO. I want to spilt my two nines. dealer said if you want to split say so. I said I did so. dealer says motion that you want a split. I said I already did. dealer calls pit boss over. pit boss says you must motion that you want a split. I said it is very obvious I am splitting the nines NOT doubling them down. why would I double down on 18?
Pitt boss calls security over. I am treated like a common criminal at this point. Security goons say I am permanently barred from setting foot in this casino ever again with the threat of arrest if I trespass the property.
Boy do I feel bad. All I wanted to do was split my 9's.

Consider this a blessing in disguise.

As an university student I tried my first and only attempt at professional card counting (blackjack) after months of study and practice.

Went to the casino and promptly lost $2,000 in under 30 minutes.

Never touched blackjack or casino gambling again.

thank you so much for the kind words everyone. yes I do consider this incident a true blessing in disguise. It was a push into reality. I needed it to get serious about quitting this truly horrible addiction. So far so good.

well it's Saturday night and I ain't got nobody (I got some money 'cause I just got paid).

107 gamble free days. It's going by fast and the urges aren't as strong now.

Normally , I'd go out to dinner with some friends but a group of us are trying the Whole 30 diet this month . That pretty much negates most restaurant food , so...

I'm cooking more . My creations are not going to be featured on any 5 star restaurant menus but some of them turned out to be rather tasty if I do say so myself . It's also time to get out into the garden and take my frustration out on the weeds .
