Hey, I am 21 years old and have been gambling consistently as soon as my pay has gone in and losing it all every single week for the past 3-4 years. Ive known its a problem and set deposit limits and self bans but have found ways to change these bans after I 'think' I can gamble responsibly. I feel my gambling is only a problem when I am by myself at home on the computer, when I am down at the pub I seem to have no problem stopping gambling after $20 however at home on my computer I will gamble all my money away immediately. I get nervous hours before I know my pay will come in due to knowing I will be able to gamble again and lose all my money. I need to find other habits and things to enjoy instead of gambling but I cant seem to find anything. Please any advice would be great

Hang around people who don’t gamble, it may seem like not much fun at first. but it is much better than throwing away all your hard earned money.
I find small thing to be grateful for and each day when we don’t gamble is another victory won and another step towards freedom from this insidious disease. If we don;t take step to stop it now, it will only get progressively worse.
You are still young and have a wonderful life ahead of you if you don’t gamble. Many older wealthy people out there would pay lots of money in exchange for more time if it is possible.

You need accountability and help. Obviously, trying to stop by yourself hasn't helped.
Computer gambling is one of the worst innovations ever created. It makes it easy to sit there secretly and in privacy and click all your money away . You need to see your gambling for what it is........it's a self destructive addiction that can ruin you and your future. Like rainbowcolor says, you are just starting out in life, being so young; you need money to live.....don't throw it away. I always say go to a GA meeting. You will find help there.

Ive started by going down to the shop this morning to get all my money out in cash. I believe this will help me not gamble and save money and pay those back who I owe money to. This is a big step because ive said I would do this previously and have not so hopefully I can continue to do this

I strongly suggest a gambling site blocker on all your devices . It may cost you some money now but it will save you in the end . It is a very powerful weapon against the addiction .
Online gambling is the most dangerous form of gambling there is - in my opinion , far worse than casino gambling simply because of its 24/7 accessibility .
Make your battle plan and stay strong . You can be free of this .
