Accountability Partner Needed! 100 Day Challenge

Postby Blondie55 » Wed Jun 20, 2018 2:49 am

I have decided that I want to try the 100 day challenge. I saw it on a post but not sure exactly how it works, other than you commit to stop gambling for 100 days. Is this a group or individual challenge? This means that I’ll have to remove all of my slot games off of my devices and laptop...that’s going to be tough, because when I can’t get to the casino, it takes up a lot of my time. Any advice? I’m new to this forum, so I apologize if I’m asking dumb questions. I am a blonde, by the way! Ha! Thanks for your help in advance. Blondie55

Hi Blondie55, no questions are too dumb in this forum, we all share the same illness and it is good to give and receive support from each other.

It is more like an individual challenge to stop gambling for 100 days. I think it is easier to tell ourself that it is only for a period of time instead of forever. Hopefully by the end of 100 days, the fog in our gambling mind will clear up and when we see the pointlessness of gambling, we may do another l00 day and so on. For many people initially it is odaat (one day at a time).

It is best not to play any slot games on the phone or laptop even if it is free or watch slot on YouTube. For me total abstinence is key, it would be better if you can find some other activity to replace the void. You can do it, odaat, I wish you all the best. Blonde hair is beautiful :)

I’ve just completed my first 100 day challenge after about 5 attempts over the last 4 and a bit years so happy to help if you need it. It’s an individual challenge, but you can invite other people on that to share and support with. Having that goal is a great start and if you can me it through even half way, you will begin to see some positive changes in you.

Send me a private message and I’ll share the website. It’s a professional site setup by the government here in Australia. It’s free for anyone to use and it quite simple and easy to use.
