Best Wishes

Postby buster19699 » Sat Sep 16, 2017 1:58 pm

Part of my recovery has always been to improve on my faults other than my gambling addiction. One of my major faults has always been to let people talk down/take advantage of me and not stand up for myself like I should. I've generally never thought much of myself so I automatically assume I deserve it. I've been having some personal problems lately *mod edit*

So I've deleted the account I started way back when but wanted to wish continued success to the people who have been here and good luck to those who are new. One thing I really enjoy is watching people succeed in beating a gambling addiction and hopefully I'll find somewhere else to continue to do so.

Hi buster, I don't fully understand but I respect your decision and thank you so much for your past contributions.

Maybe you will drop in once in a while and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Aw buster please don't leave you have been a rock to me! And I am sure to many others. Your input advice and experience are invaluable.
I know, because you have said many times, that helping struggling new comers, actually helps you with this dreadful addiction. You would be a huge loss to our community. X

Agree with the above - think you should stay, you have a lot to offer and are a inspiration.
I'm guessing this is because of the thread the other day where you and others were waiting on news of another poster on here and it was taken the wrong way by one of the moderators.

Buster: I don't always agree with the mods either, but I wouldn't leave because of that.
I think everyone here has something to contribute, and sometimes one's advice can resonate more with someone who needs help than some other. The only thing recently which bothers me is the erratic nature of this site whereby there is sudden loud interruption of an ad, then everything starts fluctuating back and forth, making it impossible to read posts. Hopefully they will have corrected that as it doesn't seem to be happening now, as I am typing this.

Buster, in my opinion, you have tremendous credibility. Do not let some mod who has no idea what we have experienced drive you away.

Can't say as I blame you, buster. I think I know what you're referencing, and it did seem unnecessarily blunt and condescending. What a shame. I've lurked here for a long time, and always enjoyed your helpful and motivational posts very, very much. As others have said, you'll be sincerely missed.
