I can't believe you feel that bad about telling your own husband. There is nothing wrong with your character and you as a person is still the same person that everybody knows you for. Most women escape gamble like myself, are you sure you don't do just that?

Gambling is such a tabu and I really get worried about how the industry takes advantage of the people that society completely freezes out.

I am going to my first GA meeting on wednesday, you should do it too! I spoke to them and they said there are only 13 procent women here in stockholm sweden, I think it has a lot to do with the shame factor.

You deserve to be loved :) stop hating yourself and see it as a cry for help!

I agree that " One size does not fit all " .

While many of us here feel that keeping our addiction battle a secret is detrimental to our recovery , we all have to do what we feel is right for ourselves and our lives .

The focus here is freeing ourselves from a crippling addiction , not on the way we choose to do it . I do not want anyone on this forum to feel that they are unwelcome or be labeled "not serious " because they cannot or will not employ methods used by other members .

If you are trying to stop gambling , we will be here for you . Period .
