One strong year that I am proud of

Postby 58gambling » Mon May 15, 2017 11:44 pm

I have been a lifelong gambler, since I was around 12 years old. I started out playing bingo-type pinball machines as a kid, and then I learned poker. From there, I graduated to blackjack and pai gow poker.
The years went by, and I went through a lot of losing years, mostly in the thousands of dollars.

Then, one day, I wondered if I could just quit for a year and save all the money I would have gambled.
I decided to try, and by using serious determination, I stopped gambling and saved all the money I knew I would have put into action for one year. When that year was over, I had saved up $10,000.

This is a true story. You may believe it or not, but I did it. I tell this story to illustrate what can be accomplished if we just set our minds to it.

Of course, the sad part is that after that one year, I went back to gambling again.
Only recently have I stopped again, so far it's been 86 days GF, and I'm happy for that.

Well done 58 on 86 GF days. You have been on this journey before so you can do it again! You know you can have a disposable income and this time round think of something wild and wonderful you would spend it on, anything at all but throwing it away on gambling. Stay strong
