Made homemade veggie-miso-noodle soup.

Heading out for a walk shortly. Hope that everyone is having a lovely Sunday.

Today was another quiet day. Went to work and just got back. Now I might watch a movie and head to bed.

My day off tomorrow and a lot of things to do.

I would like to keep this thread going ... it's so valuable. It gives us hope that there are mental alternatives, other choices, to gambling.

I drove from where I live in Canada over the border to the US, through fantastic scenery -- about an hour drive. It was our first really warm day, and provided a very strange yet lovely disjunct, as I was driving in 73°F weather, yet viewing frozen river tributaries and ponds, and lots of snowy landscapes in certain areas. An exhilarating experience, and so warm out. No border hassles either, which was a relief, as I brought some books over to the Canadian side. The guard could see them but waved me through.

Later in the evening, back home, attended a gathering with friends and great food. I would not want to trade today for a day gambling, not even a winning gambling day.

I also like this thread! Nice idea.

Today, I am in Oslo in my Europe trip. I attended a conference in London then went to visit some cities (Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris, Brussels, Bruges, Amsterdam, and Berlin) to take advantage of my company-paid airfare and since I am in Europe anyway for the conference. A very humbling experience for me to be in this trip as I realize how my company trusts me despite how inefficient I had been at work when I was gambling. I think it is time to give back to them. :)

What very normal, yet empowering days we are all having, going to show that there is a life after gambling, a normal quiet one! Today I finished knitting an afghan throw, did the shopping, read the paper still can't finish the cryptic crossword! I am embracing this normality back in my life, I've missed it. Still find it hard to believe I would sit hunched over my phone playing slots, losing money, feeling ill for hour after hour after hour! I wish everyone a wonderful normal day.

Sat night, the night before Easter, I was feeling down, because my extended family is no where near here, and we usually have an Easter Eve gathering. I didn't have plans on Sat., but did not give in to any urges. When I am feeling down, I like to physically take money out of one bank and walk and put it into my savings in another bank. This is a walk of a few blocks. It invigorates me and I feel like I "won" money, but this is a certain win, not like gambling.

Today (Sunday, Easter) I joined friends at a gathering. They grilled chicken and lamb kabobs on their apartment balcony, which we had for dinner, with other amazing foods. We played games like charades. I felt very happy and overall it turned out to be a great weekend.

Sounds like a good Easter weekend to me BGL! Shame you couldn't get together with your family, hopefully you will soon. I like the idea of taking some cash out to go deposit into a savings account, so much better than feeding a casino with it.

Today I have mostly done bugger all. My mind went into overdrive a bit about my gambling. My hubby just suggested we watch a bit of laurel and hardy. Absolutely perfect.

Meet up with an old co worker, for dinner and beer. Watched the golden state/ blazers play off game. It was fun, and exciting cheering on the local team while at the same time catching up with the co worker. Nice relaxing stree free night, I can use more that.

Today I have been getting our caravan (think you call them trailers in USA) ready for our first trip away to Anglesey, just made me think that this time last year I was thinking I would have to pawn it to gain money because of my gambling debts!
