Yeah, only the ads on this forum. I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about TV ads (I wish!)

Yeah, now draft kings has something about how now guys like this have models in their underpants. It's insane. Gambling doesn't get you laid, it gets you broke and desolate

I am actually a real hater now of gambling ads, I see it so often.

The whole thing is so false, I can see that now.....

Oliveira wrote:Hello,

many of you have noticed gambling-related ads appearing on this forum.

This is not a conscious action of the team. The ads are served automatically and context-aware. Therefore, unfortunately, the word "gambling" triggers gambling-related ads. If you see one, please take a screenshot (ideally just the ad) and post it in this topic as an attachment. Then I can report it and ask that it is removed.

Greetings!

I have not seen a single ad, period.

I use "uBlock Origin" - a Firefox and Chrome extension that blocks all ads.

OK, I think I have this picture thing figured out now.....

Anyway, I don't find this ad offensive per se, but I could see how it could trigger some people here. Seen it about 15 minutes ago.

Congrats on being named moderator NSR. Haven't posted in awhile, but still visit daily to keep myself in check.

Yesterday, there were two banner ads for Turning Stone Resort and Casino on here. Each one showed a picture of the latest big winners.

I live in central New York and this casino is about 40 miles away, so it's possible that this appeared only to "local" folks visiting this forum?

Anyway, just letting you know - thanks!

Thanks Petemon ! It's good to see you again . You should drop into the Days thread ( or any thread ) and let us know how you're doing . I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses your posts !

I'm not that sure about the mechanics of why certain ads appear . I live overseas and I have never had a casino ad show up on this site .

At any rate , if you see them again , please try to post a screenshot like Crappygambler did and Oliveira or I will report it to Admin .

Petemon:

Personally I use Adblock so I never see any ads except one where I see a part of it -- always the same one, with "12 psychiatrists are online, type your question here". I think it's related to your browsing history, location and... um... probably other things.

I wonder what would happen if you tried using the site with incognito mode in your browser? I *think* it should change ads to more neutral ones but I frankly don't know.
