12 days is awesome!
That's 12 days without a loss, 12 days of freedom.
How many people would love to be 12 days being gambling free?
In 30 days you'll be at 42...and that's how easy it is!
Congratulations my friend, 12 days is a great start.

Thank you!

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I actually have money in the bank for once!

15 days and going strong.

I got a Christmas bonus from work this week, and instantly planned what to do it, rather than running to the casino with it.

I"m putting some in my HSA account (which is always a good choice as I can't get any cash out of it)
Paying my car insurance early
And using the rest to take my son to Dave & Buster's.

It feels good for my money to actually be doing me some good.

Day 6 for me...

Not even close to catching up, but did send half the money I lost recently to my 25% interest credit card today

Actually have to take a cash advance on another card tomorrow to cover the check I wrote, but it's 0% interest (less 4% fee) and I have to pay it back in full every month. So, if I can get to January 2, I will be a lot closer to even since my last gambling disaster

Boss has approved legitimate overtime the next 3-4 weeks at work which will help too

Why am I trying to quit? Well, aside from the above, I'm extremely hard on myself after a big loss and those big losses have been coming closer and closer together. This last one was literally one day after I caught up financially from the last one

I've said it many times here and elsewhere - I wouldn't wish those feelings of despair, disgust, and regret after a big loss that I have on anyone

And, it's really creepy that for the second time in a fairly short period that I drove past the scene of a fatal accident on the way home in the wee hours of the morning

Does the world center around me? Of course not, but that has never happened to me after a win.
Good luck to all....let's keep it going!

105 DAYS !
last month, at one point I thought I no longer needed the daily reminders that I had set up on my computer task scheduler. I was wrong, I didn't relapse, but considered trying the online casino again. I turned the reminder back on and stayed strong. Amen !
Almost 4 months and although I do not earn a large paycheck to say credit cards are paid off; I am working at them. I haven't overdrawn my bank account since leaving the casinos behind. I don't drive to work after days off wondering how I am going to make up for spending bill money on throwing my money and time away simply by pressing buttons !
I actually even started a Christmas savings club for next year; something I had planned on doing many years in a row, but then spent any extra $$'s on "gaming" online.
Challenge yourself this way:
Drop a $20 bill on the ground as you walk and see if you can just let it lay there. That, my friends is exactly what I/we were all doing by putting our bills into a machine or changing them into "chips" to alter our perception of money !
Best wishes to all and have a Merry Christmas gambling free, no regrets.
