100 days is a great achievement. I often say that the first three months are the toughest since our minds are still hijacked. But after 3 months, the fog begins to clear and we can begin to see how irrational our thoughts in the past were. Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing more updates.

Very true what you had said Aries. The first 3 months were tough. I'm glad that I don't have those sleepless night, and anxiety.

I am happy that the hardest days are now behind you. You can now see what the addiction really is and can prepare for the next battle. Try to be aware of those rational thoughts (which you have done) and squash them before the develop into urges. Continue your streak and go for the year!! We are rooting for you!!

5 Days.

Over the past 2 years since I wasn't active here, I didn't gambled too much due to the Corona. Man, that was a blessing in disguise for me. The last time I've gambled before Corona was January 2020, right when the first cases were appearing in Asia.

Since then till this year, I've had a peaceful time with some small relapses. But those relapses didn't made me gamble the next day. Until this year. This year I've played on a website online, due to a random ad on website. Don't know what made me to. That's the most annoying thing. Win a jackpot, lost it back the next few days, won another one, lost it back the next days, won more and there I was trapped into the hamster wheel again. I was actually thinking afterwards - Why did I played. The money - won or lost - wouldn't have made a difference in my life at all. So why? Still looking for that answer.

Until then, I have only one thing to do. Not to gamble again tomorrow. And I'll do the same tomorrow. One day at a time.

It's so easy to get sucked back in . I've had some close calls in the last year . My addiction will never stop trying to come back and take over my life again . Despite knowing that every " reason " for gambling that my addicted brain tries to give me is BS , it doesn't stop them from coming on . I don't have the power to stop the compulsive thoughts but I do have the power to refuse to act on them .

I'm glad you're back on the recovery path and I know you'll stay the course !
