Hi all,

It is great to see the recent posts with plus 300 days GF! Congrats guys!!

I am today on day 15, and doing ok, but just two days ago I really wanted to gamble! It took some effort to get distracted and get those thoughts out of my head. Some other days its quite easy to keep GF.

I look at the 300plus days posts and I find them very inspiring. Since I realized I had a problem, I only managed to achieve 2 times more than 100 days GF. So 300 Days is really impressive. I wish you 300 days more and than 300 more and 300 more...

I will try my best to keep up with you also!

Stay safe!

Guys, 89 days GF due to brick and mortar casinos being closed and the fact I never do online gambling.
This is kinda weak because I have been forced into this, but still am close to a gf record. I no longer have numbers flashing thru my brain every minute. Casinos will open again soon here, but not tempted due to how heavy the virus is in this area. It is very nice not to have lost any money last 89 days. Winning is nice, but losing really, really sucks. LOL.

Well done , 1wiserman !

As I assume I missed your 90 day mark , I went ahead and put the cake in the oven .

On a serious note ... this is a good time for introspection . Was winning really that great compared to the misery losing inflicted ? Is your life better now without gambling consuming so much of your thoughts and your life ?

I hope you stay the course and find clarity and peace of mind .

Hi NSR, Not sure my life is better, but winning definitely better than not winning. We have been involuntarily shut down here so can not claim much of a moral victory. However fear of the virus is keeping me away from casinos that opened two days ago. We are still shut down in my area so it has been a challenging three months for all. We have many in this area who have been demonstrating (not me) and probably many of those are now at the casino. It has been a historic week. We vanquished the virus and racism in one week (NOT). These are interesting, but very dangerous times. GF 92 days.

GF 38

Hi all,

I am a bit like 1wiserman, riding the confort of the closed Casinos. It's not a full win, but It sure is helping a lot, to have my self in control in these first steps.

But it is definitely a win. This is the longest period I have been GF, in over a year, and I can only be happy with it.

I used to be an online gambler, but after the opening of a brick and mortar 15 minutes away from my place, I started going frequently.

Last month, I decided to create some blocks on online transactions (and they are working) while brick and mortar casino is still closed. As a result... Today I received my salary and I didn't had to rush to pay for my maxed credit cards. And now I just want to continue like this.

My goals are set, and sometimes all you need is a little push. Maybe that is the silverlining of this covid19 for me.

Cheers ans stay safe

Amazing update!

I think that is the goal that we all wish to achieve! Now its just about maintenance and watching for those irrational thoughts (I've had a few of those recently but fought them off successfully :D )

Bravo , Yahoocoau !

Keep going and don't look back . Updates like this give me strength . Like Aries , I've been going through a bit of a rough patch as far as gambling thoughts coming around . Not sure why , it could be the result of this very unsettling and stressful year . I'm still gamble free and your post really reinforces my commitment to my recovery . Thank you for that .

2125 days .
