In the book of proverbs the Bible talks about an adulterous woman. Let me share a few characteristics of a HPD from the Bible:
her mouth is smoother than oil but her end is bitter as worm-wood; her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell; her ways are moveable that thou canst not know them; by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread; she's loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house.
Doesn't this sound exactly like a HPD?
I wish I would have been wise enough to heed the warnings from the Bible. It states, "remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labors be in the house of a stranger; and thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body ar consumed; and say, how have I hated instruction; and my heart despised reproof.
It's amazing how God knows what's best for us. If only we would turn from our sin and trust in Jesus.
