why is she contacting me from fake number?

Hello, some background:

I'm an ex who was the dumpee. My ex and I had a somewhat healthy relationship that grew from friends into more. The more only lasted about 3 months as i think the more intimate we got the more fearful avoidant she became + more mind games. Due to the weird push/pull for 3 months (one of which she disappeared for 1 month and came back like nothing happened), I too then asked for space to sort myself out to never hear or see from her again. This was almost 3 years ago. She's been in a LTR since then that's almost 3 years old.

I've been getting strange texts since september 22 that for various reasons/tells lead me to believe they are from her. Now since our break up I have reached out to her twice and she left me on read. The last time was 2 years ago. I think in those messages I showed that i was willing to talk to her.
Why doesn't she contact me from her real phone number? Using different fake numbers doesn't feel good to me and i would much rather she just contact me directly.
Please help me understand
