Maintaining contact with acutely unwell friend with BPD

Postby shika » Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:13 am

I recently made a friend who has BPD. She's presently VERY unwell. I usually text a "good night" text each night. Her mum believes I should give her space and not text at all. So I've stopped the usually texts through the day, but I'd like to maintain the nightly "good nights" for the sake of making her aware I'm still around and haven't abandoned her. Any thoughts on this?
