She has received a Presidential pardon four years into a 10 year sentence. The thing that struck me was not the familiar tale of control and abuse over the whole family, but that during her last appeal the Court knocked her back because - wait for it - She did not show enough remorse. Beaten and raped over 47 years, seeing her daughters abused sexually, her son physically and she did not show enough remorse. . Okay, I have not read all the text of the trial, and appeal, but it stings as it follows a case I am working on here where a son killed his father. They really threw away the key.

What Ivory tower do these people live in. Seriously. What is the worse they have experienced in life.
