Hello and welcome to the forum. :D

Have you tried to communicate with him much yet so that he will start to pay more attention to you? I have a feeling that you writing here will help to get his attention... Maybe if that doesn't work enough, you can start writing notes to him or something also?

Maybe, once he's listening to you, he can try to be open to the idea of sharing some time with you so that you can have some time also?

but you are correct 100 percent correct
i am here for his attention its kind of a way to publicly embarrass him till i get all the attention i want from him not so we can live together in harmony or any of that ######6 sappy #######4, i think the sooner im acknowledged the more time i'll get out
but for all we know with some hard work may come a time when i am the only one in this place
who really ######6 knows how any of this ###$ up $#%^ works

Who knows why he is ignoring you... It may be that it is too confronting for him at the moment to find out that he has DID and that you exist, this would mean that he would have to confront the fact that something bad might have caused it. Or it could just be that he can't hear you properly under normal circumstances, like when you say something inside your head...

It's good at least that now you are here, you can talk to us. :D So even if it takes him a while to pay attention to you, at least you are not being completely ignored by other people.

I suppose you'll see how things pan out in the future, once he does realise you are there and start paying attention. You might end up finding it could be helpful to work with him on some things because it will mean that he may be more willing to compromise on some things so that you get to do some of the things you might want to do as well...

Salted Lipstick has given great advice. I wish I could reply as I want to, but I am afraid I am rather compromised at the moment. However, I wanted you to know that you are being heard, you are accepted here, you are being understood, and you are most certainly not alone. We are currently having troubles with denial, perhaps this is why he ignores you. He could be in the strong grips of denial.

If it is not too triggering for you to read, here are some threads you might find you can connect to, and when he is ready, he can read them as well to see that he is not alone in his acceptance struggles.

This one has communication between alters/personalities, and may be the most triggering, as it has anger, arguments, and denial within it: http://www.psychforums.com/dissociative-identity/topic97494.html

This one deals with denial, but also has supportive replies, and may not be as triggering as the thread above: http://www.psychforums.com/post938399.html#p938399

This one deals with realizations, especially about how strong fear can be and how much it can effect acceptance of an alter: http://www.psychforums.com/dissociative-identity/topic98709.html However, to give you a bit of background before you read this thread so that it is not as confusing, we have an alter named Shay, who we suspect may be Autistic. This has been very hard for Cassandra, our host (the main person "out", the one who usually does not realize they have DID until later on), to accept and comprehend that it is indeed possible for Shay to have these behaviours and characteristics.

This one contains song lyrics you may connect with, and deals with Shay's frustration at being heard, known, and accepted: http://www.psychforums.com/dissociative-identity/topic97158.html

I hope that this site is helpful to you, and I am happy that you have found this place. It is a safe, supportive, and understanding place where you are most welcome. Feel free to post anything you are comfortable with posting, and I hope that he will come around in time. I know it is frustrating, but sometimes all we can do is try our best to be heard and wait patiently. We must realize that while it is not easy for us, it is not easy for them, either. Imagine a woman marrying a man, and then the man surprises her by saying "By the way, I already have 12 kids, you're ok with that, right?" DID can be very difficult to accept, and people need time to adjust to the idea, including the people that have DID. True, the ignored alters are often in pain at being ignored, but the host is also in pain without knowing it, not realizing that they do not know nearly as much of themselves as they thought they did. Once they realize that pain and their lack of knowledge, it can be rather devastating, and we need to understand that. It does not make being ignored hurt less, and does not excuse it, but it does explain it.
