Is this what I am suffering?

Postby Pinkcat.s.o » Tue Jan 24, 2006 12:25 am

I'm sorry this is my first thread so if it's in the wrong place or I say something wrong it is out of ignorance not maliciousness ok?!

I just read another thread and certain aspects of it were very familiar. I thought perhaps if i wrote something of my recent dramas and events you could tell me if I matched the criteria od DID please?

Things in my life can be relatively 'normal' even good and I will lose the plot on the slightest things.
When this happens It is almost as though 'me' I gets shut into a little part of my brain where I am able to see and hate what is being done by the other me but no amount of crying, shouting, pleading can stop what is happening on the outside.
Ok that is really unclear so I try to explain again.
If a situation arises, with any percived stress in it, it is as if the logical, loving me is bundled away into a part of my brain while a violent, sadistic, hateful monster takes control.
The loving me screams and pleads from the closed space for the other me to stop and feels horror and pain at what the other person is doing but is unable to stop it, even to the point of when that person is out then it can attempt to harm me.
It seems that so far once that other reaches a certain anger point it disappears again and I am left once again in control of the body, but until then I am completely helpless to stop it.

Does this possibly fit into DID?
