Really switchy

Postby w4rp3dh4l0 » Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:12 pm

I feel really switchy right now. I feel like I'm barely in my body. I keep zoning in and out of awareness, and I'm kind of frusterated at it because I'm around people and I don't want to look like a crazy person. I don't know if I'm doing anything odd, which is really scary for me. I wish I could settle myself down, but I don't know how.

Deep belly breathing. Check-list.... (I am here. It is this (date/time). I am this age/whatever helps to ground you in current situation). What were you doing before you felt more spacey? what happened that caused you to stop? Is this a trigger? If so, choose - do you want to explore that thought or shelf it for now? If you can put it away for now because you need to finish a task - then think about what steps need to be done to finish whatever you were doing?

When you have some alone/privacy - Ask internally - thermometer - how is everyone? are there any issues that anyone is having? what does (who) need?

Other things to consider: caffeine intake, sleep (may need to check inside as well..is everyone resting when the body is??) sleep deprivation alone can make some people zone... Do you have fibromyalgia? The full moon recently can sometimes affect the 'fibro fog'....

Hope you start feeling better!

It's been happening a whole lot more frequently and I think it's because my daughter's father found out I was DID and got the courts to take her away and now I'm in the middle of a custody battle and I only get to see my daughter twice a week for an hour at a time.....really hard on me and my system.

It's just getting worse.

I'm so sorry to hear... That sounds like a very stressful situation...
In a way, I am not defined by my dissociation. In a way, I am.
