where did the cat and dog come from?(possable tw)

Okay so we where over at our SO place for the weekend and mostly just hanging out because we had been sick with a "tummy" bug for the past few days. so when we sleep over at his place we share a bed (no big deal for us) and one thing lead to another and we started to fool around when Kat who was out with a new girl Harly and things got two out of control and Kat started becoming very aggressive towards him so it took 4 of us to pull her back and Alexia got another new girl Christian to come out.
so the next morning we told him about it and being the only one who knows bout all of us he said that he was more than able to handle anything we could through at him. so He called Kat back out and told her to do the exact same thing as she did the night before but for the rest of us not to stop it. Being one of our protectors Kat can be.... Aggressive I guess the word is any way so she began to lose control and we all black out! when we come to our SO says we where acting just like a DOG! and then a little while later we where watching TV and we blacked out again and I head him call my name than again louder so it took a while but I finely got out he said that i was acting like a very friendly CAT weaving between his legs, purring the whole nine yards.

I feel like I am going nuts!
it just seems like every time I get a handle on this some thing else pops out. but only with him around.
so I am up to 14 people and two animals! its a good thing that I have the little ones to help take care of our new pets, for that we are for now calling them.

well we had better end this so we can get to sleep. thanks for hearing this out it was more just to get it strait in side than anything else.
night all

Something like this has happened to me my alter can shifts into a wolf and it's usually in situations like that. He gets very very aggressive but by the end domesticated try and find out if they are trained when my half man wolf switches out in dog form he can be told to sit, roll over and content with a stratch behind the ear.

I know a lot more switching happens, especially with "new" alters, around my boyfriend. I think it's because SO's tend to make us feel safe and comfortable, and so we might let down mental barriers subconsciously more often around them. As for the dog part, I can kinda relate to that. My boyfriend, Mike, was the first one to meet Ray, my half dog/half human alter, and he helped name her, too. (She's got a human body/face, but a dog's tail, dog ears, and paws instead of hands/feet).

You're definitely not alone in feeling like another part of you pops up just when you think you've got things figured out. I know that feeling all too well. I went from having what seemed like a "solid" group of 4 to having 16, and 3 of those 16 I recently found within the past couples months. But at least this means you know more about yourself now! :D So congrats on the new additions!

I feel like I am going nuts!
it just seems like every time I get a handle on this some thing else pops out. but only with him around.
so I am up to 14 people and two animals!

I know how you feel. When I met my SO I thought we were 5, maybe 6 people in here. Now we're 15 - including a feline! (S)he came out and sat on the floor looking at my SO and snarled a bit (**trigger warning** no wonder as my SO was preparing food right next to him/her - with a kitchen knife - and said hi. (S)he obviously felt threatened**trigger warning). Most of the time though, if the person (s)he is with is very close, (s)he will just curl up and want to cuddle, and yeah, (s)he purrs. As for animals inside, I've learned that Anastasia has a pet (not an alter): A polar bear. It's very sweet and protects her. Not the same thing as an alter though, so not much help. Just wanted you to know you're not alone. I think when we get good, caring SO's the alters sense that and get more and more comfortable with letting themselves be known. I think it's a good thing in the end :)

A lot of us have animal alters or other non-humans. I understand under what circumstances my wolfdog/feral child arose and it makes complete sense. I don't feel the least embarrassed about him, only compassion. Animal alters, like all alters, arise for a wide variety of reasons and fulfill various roles but none are because we had a happy-go-lucky childhood and liked pets. In my case, not surprisingly, it was extreme physical abuse. Ashár is our most traumatized alter but with acceptance and time, he's been doing better and better. He still can't speak but he's using the hands in hand-like ways. Adam is quite aware of him and seems to know how to help him in a way we don't, though it's all internal and without words. It feels more like an infant soothing himself rather than alters interacting with alters. I think that makes sense given how incredibly young they (we) were when they began learning how to cope with the daily abuse.

It took me a while to understand where he came from, why he came, and once I put it together, it wasn't a pleasant discovery. But it was necessary to know as he's part of us and needs the most understanding.
Dx = DID. My blog. My personal Periodic Table of 78 alters.
