I actually stopped talking to people much about anything in my life because I couldn't handle their emotional reactions to things I considered 'normal'. I mean, I knew they weren't normal, but they were by no means the 'worst' things, they were pretty everyday. I still can't handle people being 'overly emotional' or expressing too much sympathy, because I just haven't got those kinds of emotional responses to these things. Well, obviously I have, but I can't feel them. Anyway, other people reacting that way just confuses and annoys me. It's one of the reasons I've had trouble finding a therapist I click with. Any hint of sympathy and I'm out the door :)

There's probably a lot of truth in this, but I'm really confused this evening so I'm going to think on it.
