DID Husband is making big strides!!!

Postby lcdejots » Thu Jul 19, 2012 6:25 am

I am happy to report that my husband is doing great. Reading what others here have wrote has helped a lot in getting to where we are at now.

One of my husband's alters finally met my parents. The Scientist is usually the most forward but this means that they are building trust with others than just me. Thank you all so much. I know this may be a little step but it seems so huge that I had to share with everyone!!!

Awesome! Who is reading here? You, your husband, or both?

In person I have not yet met any women with DID, that I know of, but I have met 3 men. Men with DID are out there and probably they are far more numerous than it seems. Support groups seem to be dominated by women but I think that is an artifact.
Dx DID older woman married w kids. 0 Una, host + 3, 1, 5. 1 animal. 2 older man. 3 teen girl. 4 girl behind amnesia wall. 5 girl in love. Our thread.

I am reading here but sometimes he does(rarely). But Yeah I agree that there maybe more men out there than most people think. I know with my husband he wants avoid bad issues and not discuss them. And I think it deals with how he was raised. Boys don't complain or have any bad issues, Boys are to be strong kind of stigma.
